Man found dead in Cobb County apartment

Authorities are searching for a gunman after a man was found dead inside an apartment, Marietta police said.

Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 700 block of Franklin Gateway early Friday morning, Marietta police Officer Chuck McPhilamy said.

Police found Shawn Footman, 23, of Marietta, dead from a gunshot wound.

Authorities are investigating what led to the shooting and searching for a possible suspect.
