Man allegedly douses girlfriend with rubbing alcohol, sets her on fire

A woman remains in critical condition after police say her boyfriend set her on fire, the Macon Telegraph reported.

James Michael Jones, 56, faces aggravated assault and battery charges after police say he got drunk, poured rubbing alcohol on his girlfriend Barbara Williams, 56, and set her on fire.

Jones then ran to a neighbor’s yard without helping Williams, the paper reported.

Williams, 56, was flown to a burn center in Augusta suffering from leg, stomach, chest and head burns.
