A man is dead after being shot in the chest at a southeast Atlanta townhome Monday afternoon, police told Channel 2 Action News.

Officers called to the home in the 400 block of Tufton Trail about 12:30 p.m. found the man shot at least once,  Atlanta police said.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

One person is in custody in connection with the shooting, Channel 2 reported. Their identity has not been released.
