Man critical after being shot in the face in Clayton County

Clayton County police Saturday were trying to determine who shot a man in the face overnight, leaving him in critical condition.

The shooting happened shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday in the 6700 block of Maddox Road near Morrow, police said.

Investigators have not released the man’s name, nor said what might have led to the shooting.
