A Henry County jury found a man guilty of robbing three people, including a high school classmate, at gunpoint, officials said.

Malachi Frazier, 20, of McDonough, was convicted Wednesday of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Henry County District Attorney spokeswoman Megan Matteucci said in a statement.

On Jan. 13, 2017, prosecutors said Frazier approached three young men who were walking in a wood line between two apartment complexes on Willow Lane and pointed a gun at them. According to Matteucci, he ordered the trio to the ground, demanded they empty their pockets and took off with their wallets and cellphones.

Authorities caught up with Frazier when he was identified from a lineup. One of the victims recognized Frazier as a classmate from Eagle’s Landing High School.

Frazier will be sentenced on June 27.
