A man faces murder and other charges in connection with a shooting that killed one man and injured another person, South Fulton police said Tuesday.

Authorities on Friday found Leon Glenn at an Atlanta motel and took him into custody without incident, according to police spokesman Sgt. Jubal Rogers.

Glenn, 35, of Union City, was identified as a suspect in the death of Shedrick McCombs shortly after the Aug. 1 shooting, police said.

That day, South Fulton police went to the area of 5700 Bearing Way about 6 p.m. after learning multiple people were shot, Rogers said. McCombs, 39, was found with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died. A second victim who was stable was also taken to a hospital.

No details were released about how investigators connected Glenn to the incident.

He was booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
