A man’s early morning trip to a Clayton County car dealership Sunday resulted in a police chase and his arrest, Sheriff Victor Hill said.

About 1 a.m., Tydarius Allen was at the Nissan South dealership in Morrow “so he could break into cars in the parking lot,” Hill said.

He did not know someone saw the alleged activity and called 911.

When Clayton County police, Morrow police, and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at the same time, Allen ran from one side of the parking lot to the other to evade capture, Hill said.

He then tried to climb a fence before a Clayton County police officer brought him down and arrested him.

“Being so exhausted from all of the running and climbing, Allen was given an executive suite at the “Hill-ton” so that he could rest from his labor,” Hill said.

That’s sheriff’s speak for the Clayton County Jail.
