A Hall County man is behind bars on charges that he sexually abused a young girl multiple times over a six-year period, authorities said.
Anthony Geissert, 28, is is accused of assaulting the girl at her home between June 2012 and May 2018, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The girl was between the ages of 3 and 9 at the time of the alleged incidents.
The Lula man was arrested July 5 after the child’s family reported the alleged abuse to deputies. He is charged with aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery and two counts of rape, records show.
Authorities said Geissert became acquainted with the girl through a previous relationship and that abuse occurred at least four times over the years. He remains held at the Hall County Jail without bond.
