A man accused of raping three young children in Maryland was arrested in Gwinnett County, authorities said.

Franklin Rodriquez, 33, was arrested in Lilburn on Friday by deputies and U.S. Marshals, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

He allegedly abandoned his Maryland business and fled the state after one of the three children notified police, the post said. The sheriff’s office told AJC.com the warrants were from Wicomico County, Md., but no other details were provided.

He remains in the Gwinnett County jail without bond, awaiting extradition to Maryland to face his charges. He also has a hold placed on him by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the sheriff’s office said.
