Man, 41, arrested on child molestation, sexual battery charges

A 41-year-old man is facing charges after he sexually molested a girl, a Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.

Matthew Matias Silva, 41, of Gainesville, molested the girl from January 2016 to April 2018 at a residence in the 3500 block of Gilleland Extension, Lt. Scott Ware said.

The girl’s age was not released, but Ware said “Silva and the victim were acquainted.”
