A 40-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after authorities in Hall County accused him of molesting a 12-year-old boy.

Jacob Matthias Young of Cumming is facing a child molestation charge after the alleged assault.

The molestation happened at a Hall County home in October 2018, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Scott Ware. An investigation was opened after the victim’s family filed a complaint. An arrest warrant was obtained Thursday, Ware said.

Young was booked into the Hall County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
