A Jonesboro man was arrested Thursday on child molestation and aggravated sexual battery charges stemming from an incident in January, authorities said.
Justin Maurice Gleaton, 31, turned himself in to authorities after being accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said. The alleged abuse took place at his home off Augusta Court on Jan. 1.
Deputies said Gleaton is related to the victim, but AJC.com is not disclosing their relationship to protect the victim’s identity.
No other information on the incident was provided. AJC.com has reached out to Clayton County police for more information on the incident.
Gleaton remains in the Clayton County Jail without bond, according to online jail records.
