A man is accused of assaulting two Monessen supermarket employees after he allegedly stole a Slim Jim.
According to Channel 11's news exchange partners at the Valley Independent, Percy Majors, 51, of Monessen, allegedly ate the Slim Jim without paying for it while at the Foodland on Donner Avenue, then tried to hide the wrapper under a loaf of bread.
When a security employee confronted Majors outside the store, Majors allegedly shoved her against a wall and ran, the Valley Independent reported. That employee and an assistant manager then chased after him.
The assistant manager was punched several times in the face before police arrested Majors, according to the Valley Independent.
Majors is charged with simple assault, harassment and retail theft.
