A woman shot and killed allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend was pregnant at the time of her death, family members told Channel 2 Action News.

Reginald Jones, who is accused of murder, waived his first court appearance Monday, the news station reported.

He was booked into Fulton County jail Sunday, hours after police went to a College Park apartment on Camp Creek Parkway and found 23-year-old Faith Bittinger with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Jones told police the shooting, which occurred sometime before 11 p.m. Saturday, was an accident, College Park Deputy Chief Ferman Williford said.
In addition to murder, Jones is being held on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to jail records.
