The alleged incident happened at a Hobby Lobby store on Ashford Dunwoody Road on Saturday, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The girl was looking at an item inches away from her mother when she said the suspect came up behind her and grabbed her, Channel 2 reported. He ran away after the girl called out, police spokesman Sgt. Robert Parsons said.
“She did the right thing, called out to her mom, asked for help,” Sgt. Robert Parsons said.
Security cameras captured the incident but police have not been able to identify the suspect, according to the news station.
