Police on Thursday arrested a Tennessee man accused of forcing his girlfriend into prostitution for nine months.

Marvin Housley, 28, is charged with trafficking for commercial sex.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim was forced to perform sex acts against her will starting in October 2015. Housley allegedly collected all the money she made.

The victim told police she made more than $20,000 over the past nine months.

The affidavit states the woman was afraid to stop prostituting because she thought Housley would harm her. She described one case to police where she was beaten because a customer she was with "went over the allotted time."

In another instance, Housley allegedly threatened to kill her if she did not prostitute for him, according to police.

Marvin Housley is being held on a $75,000 bond.
