Three teenagers were brought to the hospital after hitting an embankment on Lake Lanier while on an inflatable tube being towed behind a boat, authorities said.

Hall County Fire services responded to the boating accident near the Lake Lanier Islands Campground on Saturday around 12:45 p.m., according to a Hall County Fire Services news release.

All three patients were between 17 and 18 years old and were brought to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, the release said.

One female teen was transported with emergency “multi-system trauma,” and the other two were transported with non-emergency injuries, the release said.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is investigating the incident.
