A 6-year-old girl is missing her kindergarten graduation Monday after she was wounded in a drive-by shooting in northwest Atlanta.

Princess Jackson, 6, is recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital after a stray bullet hit her in the neck just before 9 a.m. Sunday on Stafford Street, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“She can’t even go (to her graduation),” the child’s aunt, Dee-Dee Latimer, told Channel 2. “Because of this.”

The child was sitting on her bed watching TV when police said someone drove down the street and opened fire, hitting cars and the family’s home.

"You're just shooting,” Latimer said. “Bullets don't have no name on them."

“She can’t even go (to her graduation),” the child’s aunt, Dee-Dee Latimer, told Channel 2. “Because of this.”

Princess’ father, Lamonte Jackson, said he was “heartbroken” and “angry.”
