A father of five was killed in a double shooting outside a southwest Atlanta store, police said.

The shooting occurred early Monday outside the Discount Food Mart in the 3200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Officers found the victims less than a mile apart about 2:55 a.m., Atlanta police Lt. Ricardo Vazquez said.

One man was shot in the leg and tried to drive to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said. He crashed a short distance from the food mart.

Emergency responders eventually took him to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening, according to police.

The other man was shot multiple times and found in a car in the food mart’s parking lot, Vazquez said. He was also taken to Grady, where he later died.

Family members identified him as Tory Lambert, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“At this point in time, very early in the investigation, we don’t know if a dispute led up to the shooting incident,” Vazquez said.

No arrests have been made.

A witness told Channel 2 Action News he saw three to four people arguing outside the food mart just before the shooting.
