One person died and a New Jersey police officer suffered serious injuries early Saturday during a shooting outside an Atlantic City casino.

Atlantic City police confirmed one officer was wounded and one suspect shot and killed. Police didn't immediately identify either person.

According to a news release from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, the injured officer underwent surgey and remains in critical condition.

Two other suspects were believed to be at large. Police released a video Saturday afternoon in connection with the case.

Authorities from multiple agencies responded before 3:30 a.m. to a report of an officer shot outside Caesar's Atlantic City Hotel and Casino on Arkansas Avenue, according to reports on social media.

It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting.
