Three men have been confirmed dead in a shooting in College Park.
The men were found inside an apartment at Embarcadero Club Apartments in the 2200 block of Sullivan Road on Monday afternoon.
“It appears the resident (of the apartment) was the focus of an intended robbery attempt,” College Park Police Chief Keith Meadows said. “At some point during the altercation between the homeowner and the perpetrators, the homeowner produced his own weapon, which prompted an exchange of gunfire.”
A fourth victim suffered a leg injury during the incident and was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police said they have not ruled out the possibility that the fourth victim was part of the alleged robbery.
The victim’s condition is unknown.
Police are questioning one person who was in the apartment at the time of the shooting. They also have two men in custody who are suspected of driving a getaway vehicle.
