Woman, child killed in car accident in south Fulton County
A woman and a child died after a car wreck Thursday afternoon in south Fulton County, police confirmed.
The accident occurred on Fulton Industrial Boulevard near Campbellton Road about 5:30 p.m., Fulton County police Lt. Scott McBride told Channel 2 Action News.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as JoAnn Tate, 41, of Douglasville. The child’s name was not released.
It is not clear what caused the deadly crash. An investigation is ongoing.
No one else was injured in the wreck, McBride said.
