One person is on the run after a dispute at a shopping center in DeKalb County on Tuesday afternoon escalated into a shooting, police confirmed.

The shooting took place in a parking lot at Memorial Drive and Columbia Drive, DeKalb police said.

The person who was shot stumbled into a nearby nail salon, police said. That person has been taken to a local hospital but is expected to survive, according to police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell.

The suspect is not in custody, police confirmed. No description of the suspect was provided.

No other details were released.
