A reward has grown to $5,000 for information in a shooting that left a 19-year-old girl dead, police said Wednesday.
The increased reward was announced just before the start of the funeral for Aubria Foster, who was sitting on a couch in the living room of her boyfriend’s Coweta County house on Dec. 30 when someone outside opened fire.
Foster was found unresponsive just after 9 p.m. at the home on Savannah Street, Newnan police said. She was taken to Piedmont Newnan Hospital and pronounced dead.

Detectives determined someone outside fired multiple shots, leaving several bullet holes in the exterior of the home. Shell casings were found in the street.
The bullet that hit and killed Foster entered through the wall and hit the teen in the upper back and shoulder area, authorities said.
“I heard about six shots,” neighbor Jackie Berry told Channel 2 Action News. “We hear shots all the time, but nobody getting killed.”
Police told Channel 2 that several people were inside the house at the time of the shooting.
No suspects have been identified and no motive has been determined.
“The investigation is still active and detectives are pursuing all information that is provided, in an attempt to identify the shooter(s) that are responsible,” Newnan police deputy Chief Mark Cooper said Wednesday in a statement.
