MARTA police are investigating a shooting that happened on a bus near the Hamilton E. Holmes Station Thursday evening around 8 p.m., MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher confirmed to AJC.com.

The person shot was conscious at the scene and was taken to a hospital, Fisher said.
