A man was fatally stabbed by his stepfather during an argument Thursday morning at a southwest Atlanta home, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 1660 block of Olympian Way about 9:45 a.m. after receiving a call about the stabbing, Atlanta police spokesman James White said. They arrived to find 24-year-old Kelvin Williams with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Police determined the stabbing was the result of a domestic incident and later arrested Williams’ stepfather, 51-year-old Charles Ross, on a felony murder charge.

“It appears the two were involved in an argument that escalated, ultimately resulting in the fatal stabbing,” police said.

Ross was booked into the Fulton County Jail.
