On Wednesday night, dozens gathered at the gas station to mourn Ladson, who Dixon said was at the gas station to buy candy on his way home, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“Why would they do this to him,” Dixon said. “He didn’t deserve that at all. Help us get (the shooter) off the streets, so they won’t do this to nobody else.”
