A man was shot and killed early Monday morning at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta that has been the site of multiple shootings in the past year.
His body was found around 1:15 a.m. lying between cars in the parking lot when officers arrived just before 2 a.m. to the Hidden Village Apartments on Landrum Drive, Atlanta police said.
Relatives identified the victim as 21-year-old Ralph Burras. It was unknown if Burras lived at the apartment complex, which is located off Childress Drive just north of Campbellton Road.
Evidence suggests there was more than one shooter, Lt. Andrea Webster told Channel 2 Action News from the scene. Investigators have located one witness, she said, but they believe there are more.
Police are encouraging other witnesses to come forward.
Just two weeks ago, police investigated another shooting at the complex. No one was reported injured after police said someone fired multiple rounds into the side of one unit the morning of July 10. A family had to run and hide as bullets went through blinds, furniture and a microwave, according to Channel 2.
“We all ran toward the bathroom because bullets were coming through the wall,” Netta Favors told the news station. Favors’ vehicle was also riddled with bullets.
“They were shooting with something powerful,” she said.
In April, five men were shot when gunfire erupted in the Hidden Village parking lot. One man, identified as 27-year-old Tyriq Livatt, was killed. Another was critically injured.

Homicide investigators said the five were involved in a fight at the apartment complex between two large groups an hour before the shooting.

No suspects are in custody in the latest deadly shooting, Webster said.
