A man has been charged with murder in the case of a Marietta High School student who was found shot to death inside his home, police said.
Lord Angulo, 20, is charged with aggravated assault and felony murder in connection with the death of 17-year-old Jalante Brown.

Brown’s body was found in the early morning hours of the July 4 holiday, AJC.com previously reported. He was found inside his home in the 1300 block of Penny Lane in Marietta, according to Cobb County police spokeswoman Officer Sydney Melton.

The teen had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, Melton said. Few other details were released.
In a statement, Marietta City Schools Superintendent Grant Rivera said, “On behalf of the Marietta City Schools staff, I express our sincere condolences to the family of Jalante.”
Cobb police obtained a warrant Friday accusing Angulo in the murder, Melton said. He is in the Cherokee County jail on unrelated charges.
