Two men were killed and a third was wounded in a shooting Monday night at a Clayton County home.

Clayton County police were called about 11:15 p.m. to the home in the 800 block of Brian Lane south of Forest Park. An anonymous tipster called 911 twice, first to report hearing gunshots and then to report someone was yelling for help in the nearby woods.

When officers arrived, they found one man dead inside the home, police spokesman Officer David Portis said.

“The officers then noticed a blood trail leading out of the back door and into the woods, where they located a second male that was also deceased,” he said in a news release.

After a search, the officers found the third man suffering from gunshot injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and police did not know his condition Tuesday afternoon.

None of the victims are being identified as the investigation is ongoing.

Portis said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident. While he confirmed there are no suspects in custody Tuesday afternoon, Portis did not say if investigators were looking for a shooter.
