Inmate dies after fight in prison; death investigation underway
An inmate's death is being investigated after he and another prisoner fought in Helena.

May 13, 2017The Georgia Department of Corrections is investigating an inmate’s death after officials say he sustained serious injuries during a fight with another inmate.
Humberto Hernandez, 41, died while en route to the hospital after a fight Wednesday morning at the Telfair State Prison in Helena, officials said.
Hernandez’s body was taken to a state crime lab for an autopsy.
Hernandez was in prison on a murder charge. He was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole.
