A popular Midtown sushi bar was robbed early Wednesday morning as employees cleaned up after the close of business, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Employees at the Ra Sushi Bar at Peachtree and 11th streets told police they heard a knock at the back door shortly after midnight. The restaurant had just closed for the night. Police said the thieves tricked employees into letting them in, according to Channel 2.

“When they opened the door, there were two black males there, one with a firearm, basically demanding money,” Atlanta police Capt. William Ricker told the news station. “They were inside for a short time.”

While none of the employees were hurt, the two men got away with an unknown amount of cash, Ricker said.

Investigators are still going through surveillance footage from the restaurant as well as from other cameras at surrounding businesses. They have not identified any suspects.
