Police are investigating after the body of a Conyers woman was found inside a Rockdale County home on Friday afternoon.

Sheriff’s deputies said the death of Loretta Goolsby, 58, “appears suspicious.”

Goolsby’s body was found inside a home in the 1400 block of Lester Road by deputies responding to a missing person call. A spokeswoman for the Rockdale County sheriff’s office could not confirm any further details about how the body was found or the manner of the woman’s death.

“We are waiting on autopsy results from the GBI,” spokeswoman Yolande Lovingood-Moore told AJC.com. “The Criminal Investigations Division continues to work to get answers and will provide updates as they come available.”
