Bond was revoked for a suspect in a deadly DUI crash in Henry County after he was arrested in another county on a DUI charge.

Stephen Pope of Griffin was out on bond on charges of first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI and failure to maintain lane in connection with the 2016 death of 51-year-old Laura Fisher, according to Megan L. Matteucci, the spokeswoman for the Henry County District Attorney’s Office.

A condition of his bond was not to drive or consume alcohol or drugs, she said.

However, Pope was arrested in March in Coweta County on DUI and failure to maintain lane charges, Matteucci said. He was due in court last month for a bond revocation hearing but skipped the proceeding, officials said. Authorities went to his home and arrested him.

A judge granted the state's motion Wednesday to revoke Pope’s bond.

He will remain in the county jail to await trial.
