An inmate in a Florida jail was charged with aggravated battery after deputies found him trying to strangle his cellmate because of his loud snoring.
Darvin Cano Murillo, 30, was found strangling David Reedy, 61, on Saturday afternoon at the Monroe County Jail in Stock Island, Florida near the Key West Naval Station, NBC Miami reports. Adeputy heard "cries for help" coming from the cell and found Reedy with a mesh laundry bag around his neck, Monroe County Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin.
Reedy told deputies that he had been sleeping at the time of the attack and was able to call for help after a few minutes of struggling with Murillo.
