An Illinois woman faces misdemeanor charges after authorities accused her of failing to yield while making a left turn, causing a wreck that killed a motorcyclist.

Christine Clair Kicklighter, 66, of Belleville, Ill., was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield, the Georgia State Patrol said.

The wreck took place just after 8:15 p.m. March 11 as Kicklighter drove a 2004 Toyota 4 Runner on Candler Road, according to a GSP incident report. She allegedly failed to yield while turning left onto the I-985 North entrance ramp, entering the path of a 2018 Harley Davidson Street Glide.

The ensuing wreck injured Jeffery Ryscamp, 57, of Hoschton, who later died at a hospital, GSP said.

Kicklighter was booked into jail before being released Wednesday on a $38,700 bond, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
