The man charged in connection with home invasion and other crimes in DeKalb County slumped to the floor and passed out in his first court appearance, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Corey Griffin went to the floor Monday when he was told to stand when the judge entered the room, according to the television station. A deputy in the DeKalb County courtroom confirmed to the station that Griffin passed out during the session.

Atlanta police apprehended Griffin, 48, based on outstanding DeKalb warrants, authorities said. Police received a 911 call that revealed his location.

He was booked into the DeKalb County jail Sunday, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Charges against Griffin include two counts of rape, four counts of aggravated assault and home invasion, according to jail records.
