When he was ordered out of his Dodge Charger at gunpoint in January, the victim thought one of the suspects looked familiar.

Turns out, he was right, according to Cobb County police.

When the victim searched friends of his friends on Facebook, he spotted one of the suspects, identified as Shawn Patrick Hixon, according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. But when the victim gave the information to police, Hixon, 22, of Powder Springs, was already in jail on other charges, the warrant states.

“Shawn stated he remembers a 2012 black Dodge Charger,” the warrant states. “He advised that ‘Lingo’ was driving this car and simply gave him a ride to a store.”

When Hixon was arrested for an unrelated crime, he gave the name of the victim in the carjacking instead of his own, according to police.

“At the time the car was hijacked, the victim left his wallet and identification in the vehicle,” the warrant states.

Hixon was arrested Friday night and charged with hijacking a motor vehicle and booked into the Cobb County jail, booking records show. He was being held this afternoon without bond.
