Hapeville officer struck by truck in hit-and-run

A Hapeville police officer was struck by a black truck along I-20 westbound on Friday, Atlanta police said.

The officer, who was off duty, was on his motorcycle at the time of the accident, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Lukasz Sajdak said.

“The truck left the location and the off-duty officer is OK,” Sajdak said. Emergency officials are on the scene.
