A Hall County woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attacking a man with an ax, the sheriff’s office said.

Kaci Lavonne Gibbs, 32, of Lula, was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident, sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said Wednesday in a news release.

The alleged attack happened May 4 at a home in the 6300 block of River Plantation Drive, where Gibbs and the victim live.

During a domestic incident, Gibbs struck the man on his hand with an ax, Ware said.

“The victim received a severe cut to his hand, which required emergency medical treatment,” he said.

Gibbs was booked into the Hall County Jail. Her bond has not been set.
