A Hall County driver was able to take down a partial tag number after someone shot at their car with a BB gun in a road-rage incident Wednesday.

The tag number, along with a vehicle description, led deputies to arrest Cody Marcus Myers one day later, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was not injured when Myers, 32, allegedly shot at the rear driver’s-side window as both were driving on Ga. 53.  The victim pulled over, called 911 and provided what information they could to dispatchers.

Myers was arrested Thursday on charges of terroristic threats and criminal damage to property in the second degree. Sheriff’s investigators said the damage to the car was estimated in excess of $500.

Deputies also recovered the BB gun they said was used in the shooting.

The Gainesville man is being held in the Hall County jail. His bond has not been determined.
