Gwinnett police searching for armed bank robber

Gwinnett County police are searching for an armed bank robber.

The man entered the Chase Bank in Lilburn on May 26 and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said in a news release. Then he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the teller, police said. The teller handed over $5,300, and the suspect casually walked out of the bank.

He was last seen wearing a faded gray T-shirt, blue pants, black shoes and an Atlanta Falcons hat, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gwinnett detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
