Gwinnett County police are investigating a slaying in unincorporated Snellville, officials said.

A man’s body, identified Thursday as 23-year-old Jabari Pettway of Duluth, was found Wednesday at the end of Lenora Road, spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

Pettway died from “several” gunshot wounds, spokesman Cpl. Deon Washington said Thursday. Police still are seeking suspects and trying to determine a motive for the slaying.

Officers responded about 8:42 a.m. Wednesday when a worker who patrols pasture along the road found the body lying face up, Pihera said. The body was found on grass that leads to a private driveway to the pasture, Pihera said.

Investigators are trying to determine if the man was killed at the location, or if his body was brought there.
