A grandmother called Dayton Police to report her granddaughter was abusing drugs in her bedroom on Linden Ave. on Sunday evening.

Leah D. Jackson, 32, was booked into Montgomery County Jail on possession of drug and paraphernalia charges. She is not listed as an inmate in the jail as of Monday morning.

In a police report, about 8:30 a.m., the woman’s grandmother gave police a makeup bag which contained suspected drugs and a pipe. The officers asked the woman if bag was hers and she said “yeah.” The officer said the woman appeared to be in an excited state, with sores covering her face.

When the officer asked her if the contents were drugs, she said yes, then said she was merely holding it for police to test, because she felt it was laced with an “acid” because she “believed it was making her have a negative reaction.”

According to the report, the police tested the substance which indicated it was meth.
