A Georgia truck driver was arrested in Indiana after officials found methamphetamine and alcohol in the cab of his vehicle, state police said in a post on Facebook.

Investigators said James Robert Whitlock, 56, of Temple, was intoxicated while driving the big rig through Clark County, Indiana.

A trooper was sent out about 7 a.m. Friday after 911 callers reported the truck “driving all over the road and even stopping in the roadway,” Indiana police said. The trooper found Whitlock’s truck and pulled him over, police said.

As the trooper spoke to Whitlock, he saw what he suspected were drugs and drug paraphernalia “in plain sight within the cab of the truck,” police said.

A woman, later identified as 29-year-old Alicia Ann Gaylor of Sarasota, Florida, was in the sleeper berth of the vehicle and was initially unresponsive when the trooper tried to speak with her, police said.

Investigators said Gaylor “did not respond until he and other responding units attempted to administer Narcan.”

When troopers searched Whitlock’s truck, they found alcohol, marijuana and two handguns.

Whitlock was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a handgun with a prior felony, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. He was previously convicted of possession of meth in Stephens County in 2017, Georgia Department of Corrections records show.

Gaylor was charged with possession of meth and possession of paraphernalia.

They were both taken to the Clark County Jail in Indiana, where they remain.
