An Athens man has been indicted in connection with a gang-related shooting that injured seven people, including three bystanders, according to a media report.

Tair Kuran “Insane” Lawson, 21, fired into a crowd of people on July 30 outside a house party, the Athens Banner-Herald reported. Among the charges are seven counts of aggravated assault

“How no one was killed I don’t know,” an Athens-Clarke County police officer said shortly after the shooting.

Authorities said Lawson left Athens after the shooting and was arrested at a relative’s home in Gwinnett County, according to the report.
