A Clayton County man is behind bars in connection with a child pornography investigation, officials said.

The GBI arrested and charged Joseph Leonard Adams, 32, of Rex, with four counts of sexual exploitation of children, Special Agent in Charge Lindsay Marchant said.

The charges stem from an investigation into computer crimes involving child pornography, she said.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shared a report with the GBI concerning “the upload of numerous images depicting child pornography to a social media site,” Marchant said.

It is not clear what was in the report that led authorities to Adams.

GBI investigators on Monday executed a search warrant at Adams’ home. He was taken to the Clayton County Jail, where he remains on a $40,000 bond.
