Gainesville man faces rape charge after domestic violence incident, police say

A Gainesville man faces a rape charge after an alleged domestic violence incident last month, authorities said.

Adam Hernandez Jr., 28, was arrested Tuesday for the sexual assault, Gainesville police Cpl. Jessica Van told AJC.com.

The alleged assault happened on March 31, she said. No further details on the incident were provided.

He remains in the Hall County jail without bond, jail records show.

Nadine Jones, 51, was an employee at the Childcare Network in Duluth when the incident happened.
