Fulton County police were involved in a vehicle pursuit and shooting Wednesday, spokeswoman Maureen Smith said.
The incident was in the 5400 block of Old National Highway, Smith said. It was part of a follow-up to a criminal investigation.
Channel 2 Action News reported that a white SUV, which appeared to have bullet holes on the driver’s side, was involved in the pursuit. A Fulton police cruiser also had a damaged bumper.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital, Channel 2 reported.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation also responded to the scene.
Old National Highway is shut down due to the investigation.
