The FBI believes a serial bank robber struck Cobb County again Wednesday.

According to Special Agent J. Britt Johnson and Cobb County Police Chief John R. Houser, a man robbed the PNC Bank on Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta, pointing a handgun at the teller and taking an undisclosed amount of money.

Witnesses described the man as middle aged, white and approximately 6 foot tall.

Law enforcement officials say this might be the man’s fourth bank robbery. Similar incidents took place at banks along Roswell Road in Marietta, including the BB&T Bank in late May, the Regions Bank in early April and the Fifth Third Bank in February.

During the February robbery, the suspect allegedly told the teller he owed someone money in Nashville, Tenn., and apologized for his actions.

The FBI is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of this man. If you have information, call (404) 577-8477.
